We are a professional body that can help you as a clerk to develop your skills and provide you with advice and guidance when you need it.

Norfolk is the second largest county in England, with just over 500 parish and town councils. We support Norfolk members who belong to the National Society of Local Council Clerks.  We support mentoring for new clerks and organise training and conferences.

We offer a bursary to clerks of smaller councils in particular as we know that money can sometimes be tight. The bursary allows clerks to receive up to 50% off the cost of relevant training, events or publications provided by SLCC.

We are a committee of experienced clerks that meets quarterly, electing members at our AGM each April. Anyone can put themselves forward if they are a member of the National body and based in Norfolk.
